Kick Off Meeting

On June 11, 2025, the first official meeting of the PERSONALISE-DKD project took place at the Mario Negri Institute in Bergamo (Italy).

This meeting marked the start of PERSONALISE-DKD. It was attended by the main partners of the project, Christoffer Laustsen (Aarhus University- AU, Denmark), Frank Zoellner (Heidelberg University -UHEI, Germany), Maria Fernandez-Seara (Clínica Universidad de Navarra – UNAV, Spain), Signe Mezinska (University of Latvia -UL, Latvia), Juan Carlos Julián Mauro (European Kidney Patients’ Federation -EKPF, Spain), Lucian-Mihai Itu from Siemens SRL (Romania) accompanied by their research groups and the project coordinator Anna Caroli (Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri IRCCS -IRFMN, Italy).

The main purpose of this meeting was to discuss the objectives as well as the milestones, partner roles, risks and the development of the project over time.  The project has a duration of 36 months and is divided into 6 complementary and interlinked work packages (WPs).  Each one of them is led by one country and tasks are divided among partners according to expertise. The tasks were explained in detail by the responsible partner and discussed.

Future meetings will be held to review the progress of the work and any problems that may arise.
